Real Madrid Ready To Beat Chelsea To The Signing Of Eden Hazard

Chelsea fans who are sincere to themselves will agree it is only a matter of when and not if Chelsea will be losing the services of the highly rated Belgian Eden Hazard. It is a widely known fact that Real Madrid have keen interest in the former Lille of France midfielder and are only waiting for the perfect time to make their moves.

Los Blancos as Madrid are otherwise called always find a way of getting whatever they want and when they want it. And according to reports the 10 times Champions league winners have already opened secret talks with the representatives of Eden Hazard with a view of signing him once the summer transfer window opens.

Real Madrid were two summers ago linked with the signing of the 26-year-old but no concrete offer was made for his services but with Cristiano Ronaldo not getting any younger, it will not be a surprise if they make good their interest in Hazard this summer with a firm offer and a lot of tapping up. Already betting odds have been shortened on Hazard leave Chelsea in the summer.

Chelsea will do well to start shopping for a replacement for the Belgian as if the reports of Madrid’s readiness to sign Hazard this summer is true then the player is as good as lost. And with reports already linking Chelsea to the signing of Bernardo Silva from Monaco, it could well mean that the Blues already accepted fact and are already making moves to ensure the impact of the inevitable departure of Hazard is not felt.

Signing Silva as the replacement for Eden Hazard will make a lot of sense. Both players are similar in many ways. Silva can play on both flanks as well as in the central attacking midfield role just as Hazard. Silva is however younger which is good for Chelsea. And both players are likely to cost almost the same amount of money. Silva will however not command as much in terms of wages as Hazard currently commands at Chelsea.

This means Chelsea will be making some saving in wages if Hazard leaves and Silva is bought.
