In the last few weeks, Chelsea has been linked with a move for Juventus’ Paul Pogba. It has been reported that Jose Mourinho will like to have the player at Chelsea. Some other reports even claim Chelsea will consider letting Juventus have Oscar. Oscar has been linked with a move to Juventus in the last three transfer windows and in the last two weeks, the speculations has intensified.
Aside Chelsea, Manchester United, Barca, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG have all been linked with a move for the Frenchman. However, it seems PSG have moved ahead of the pack in the chase for the player’s signature as according to a quote attributed to Laurent Blanc PSG’s manager, PSG has held talks with the player.
“You announced that the president had been seen [with Pogba]. I too have seen [him]. You can see it, we can talk, discuss two seconds but it’s not as far as we will sit around a table and discuss with his agent,” the former Manchester United defender told beIN Sports.
“As you know, he is not free, Juve is in a relatively favorable position because it has a player that many big clubs want.
“Maybe he will stay at Juventus, maybe he will sign for a big club and stay at Juventus.
“You see, there are many possibilities for the player who is 21 and has almost all the biggest clubs at his feet. It’s good for him and his agent and it will be well for Juventus if they sell because they will hit the jackpot.”
Although Blanc did not directly confirm holding talks with the player but again, he does not have to as that will amount to tapping up the player which could put them in trouble. It is obvious PSG have been making background moves to sign the player judging by the quote above.
