Beginning this season, Mourinho’s “favourite” players had been uncharacteristically below-par and many thought it was beyond the ordinary what was faced with Chelsea.
Former Barcelona ace midfielder Cesc Fabregas and PFA player of the year for last season, Eden Hazard have been singled out as rebellious players that caused the dismissal of MOurinho.
Fabregas has been fervently blamed for some of the woes of the club following his poor form. He denied all the allegations against him but the absence of Mourinho will now see if he will up his game and put up similar performance of last season that saw Chelsea won the League.
Hazard had been linked with a move to Real Madrid. The best player in the League for last season, Hazard has failed to score a single goal in the League this season. His poor form looks out of the ordinary as he as been accused of deliberately being poor.
Chelsea are currently wallowing in a point above relegation zone on the Premier league table. The players response post-Jose Mourinho will go a long way to revealing what went wrong while the Special One was still at the helms for Chelsea.
