As far as Chelsea football club is concerned, not only is change desirable, it is also imminent and inevitable. The change that saw Jose Mourinho leave and Guus Hiddink arrive is just one of the many more desperately needed at the club. In this vein, the club’s officials are tracking a host of big-name players to come on to help revitalize their campaign this season.
Chelsea sit 15th on the Premier league log, with 18 points from 17 games. They are trailing leaders, Leceister City by 20 points, while at the other end, they are just three points above relegation. Their next game sees them hosting an in-form Watford, who has striker Odion Ighalo firing on all cylinders.
The world-class players linked to Chelsea include PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Madrid’s duo of Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez. Though the lists is quite quite ambitious at the moment, one name that easily jumps out is James Rodriguez.
The Real Madrid and Colombian midfielder joined the La Liga giants back in 2014 for a reported fee of €80m. It believed that he is looking forward to leaving the club given that he has not enjoyed the working relationship between himself and Real boss, Rafael Benitez. If a move for Rodriguez eventually materializes, it would cast a big question mark on Fabregas’ stay at Stamford Bridge.
