If reports in the English media is anything to go by, Chelsea have started drawing up a four-man shortlist to take over from Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho has been under immense pressure following the BLUES’ poor start which has left the club neck deep into the relegation zone. It was initially reported that Roman Abramovich had given Mourinho the Liverpool game to redeem himself but nothing came off that report even though Chelsea lost that match.
After yesterday’s defeat to Stoke City, newer reports are that Abramovich is now ready to step in and stop the roth. According to reports, Roberto Di Matteo, former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, Guus Hiddink and former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti form the reported four-man list.
However, it remains to be seen how true the reports are considering the Russian only about three weeks ago released an official statement saying Mourinho’s job is not under treat. Also, it is important to note that Abramovich will have to cough out £37 million in compensation to send the Portuguese packing.
After 12 match matches, the blues have lost Seven matches and won three drawing two which is in contrast to last season’s form. By this time last season, the Blues have won 10 matches, drawn 1 lost 1.
