Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been given the go ahead by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to sign Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale if he wants the former Tottenham player. It is thought that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has put an end to Chelsea’s era of over spending after the £50 million purchase of Fernando Torres from Liverpool. However, if reports in the media today is anything to go by, Roman Abramovich is willing to burn the cash once again to enable Jose Mourinho build a team that is capable of winning the UEFA champions league.

According to the reports, Jose Mourinho is convinced Bale is what he needs to compete in Europe next season. This is despite the reports of Chelsea practically signing Antoine Griezmann.

It is general knowledge that Bale will leave Real Madrid this summer with Manchester United thought to be the destination of the Welshman but Jose Mourinho will now compete with Manchester United for the signature of attacker. Bale is reportedly frustrated with life at the Santiago Bernabeu and will seriously consider a return back to England.

To fund the purchase of the Welsh, Jose Mourinho has reportedly informed Abramovich he will be selling the likes of John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Willian and Petr Cech. Should Chelsea beat Manchester United to the signature of the player, it will be interesting to see his combination with Hazard.
