Recent reports from the Metro suggested that Paul Pogba is a subject of a January transfer to Chelsea as the English champions find means to sign the midfield maestro as soon as possible. An early deal could help in warding off what could have been a tough competition with other interested parties in the summer.
Chelsea are said to be offering Spanish midfielder, Cesc Fabrega, as a sweetener for the deal. Chelsea were linked heavily to the French midfielder last season but good resistance from the Italian champions prevented the deal from happening as the likes of Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal and Andrei Pirlo left the UEFA Champions league loosing finalists as they prepared for the new season.
Juventus also have shown interest in Fabregas and this interest could be the catalyst Chelsea need to seal the deal. This could help both teams to make the deal happen as they will both consider what they are going to gain from the deal.
Last summer, Chelsea offered £62 million for the France international, but the Old ladies rejected it. However, the Stamford bridge outfits are not ready to offer more than the £62 million offered last season, but they will add Cesc Fabregas to the deal to make it sail through easily.
The 22-year old Paul Pogba moved from Manchester United to Juventus on a free transfer few seasons ago; he has scored 23 goals in 105 appearances for the Turin side and he has featured regularly for France in recent years.
