The young Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is very unhappy with the treatment he received from his former manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The young Belgian joined Chelsea from Anderlecht last summer, but did not start any Premier League or Champions League match while Villas-Boas was manager of the Blues.
The Portuguese manager was sacked in March, and Lukaku has criticized the way Boas treated him.
Lukaku said that “There is one person that I will never forgive for what he did to me – the previous coach. It was the way he spoke to me and treated me. Right from the beginning, it was weird.”
“It’s not just that. It was also the way he spoke to me and treated me.
“Right from the beginning, it was weird. I could not stand how he was treating me. I received no explanation.
“In training, he put me on the right or left wing. In training matches, I was a substitute with a shirt to keep swapping teams. I really learned nothing!
“I have told the club that too. I understand that he was under pressure, but I was also thinking of myself. I have improved in recent months.”
Chelsea’s caretaker Roberto Di Matteo, used Lukaku in the final two Premier League matches.
Although he did not play for Chelsea in UEFA Champions League, Romelu Lukaku was delighted with the triumph.
“I could not believe it. I had to think, ‘Is this really happening’? European champion… My life has changed and I’m only 19.”
Lukaku did not manage to be a regular in Chelsea’s first eleven yet, but as he said, he is only 19, so there is plenty of time to prove his worth.
