Chelsea are looking to sell off some of their older players this summer and Florent Malouda may be the first to head for the Stamford Bridge exit. It seems that the Serie A will be the likely destination for the Chelsea forward as the slower pace of the Italian game may suit him.
According to TalkSport Radio Malouda is of interest to AC Milan, Inter and Roma. Malouda joined Chelsea from Lyon in 2007. Since then he has played in 184 games and scored 42 goals for the Blues. He helped Chelsea win the League in 2010 as well as two FA Cups.
Other players that look to be exiting Chelsea are Anelka and Drogba as there are enough forwards at the club with the likes of Torres and Sturridge in the squad. Drogba in particular has many interested clubs including Tottenham and Galatasaray willing to sign him.
Midfielder Essien was thought to be another player that would be sold, but even though there is interest from AC Milan it now seems that he will stay at Stamford Bridge.
Let Malouda go even for free en what of Drogba, Lampard, Mzee Anelka. We need new blood not these money gazzlers.
