Shakhtar confirm that Chelsea is back in for Willian
The long time Chelsea target, Willian, is back in the running to come to Stamford Bridge as Shakhtar Donetsk’s manager Mircea Lucescu has declared that the Brazilian midfielder can make the move, but only if Chelsea pay their valuation.
The Ukranian giants are not desperate for money and are adamant that Willian will only leave on their terms, or not at all. “They have to pay the price,” said Lucescu. “They have to pay the price because we bring the players here at 17 or 18 years old.
“We pay a lot of money because they are talented players and we bring them up. I have 23 or 24 players like that, not only Willian.
“They have played a lot of matches in Europe and they have a very, very good value.
“If Chelsea pay his asking price, I am not against letting my players play for the big clubs.
“If they pay the price, he can go. If not, he will remain here because he has another two-and-a-half years on his contract.”
Chelsea made a concerted effort to sign Willian last summer and it looks like they are still trying hard. Do you think that Willian would be a good addition to the club?

I havent seen the lad play and perhaps may not be in the right position to Judge his compatibility with the chelsea team. However, my concern is that this Willian should not turn out to be yet another hype and a serious waste of investment.

willian is a player that is likely to reinforce chelsea attacking options especially that is got speed when attacking through the wings, i can see him combining well with ezekiel lavezzi from Napoli and with the likes of mata,meireles,Ramires.
Chelsea should not fall for their gimmick, I understand his contact ends by June 30th, 2012. Hence he becomes a free agent. Open your eyes.
i think Willian is a great attacking midfielder, he has an ability to play any wing, so i think getting him will be a great boost to chelsea team.
Why do we need him? Is it because he scored against us? Every player who wants to come to Chelsea just have to step up his game and score two or three goals against us and the next moment he is a Chelsea target. That’s not right. How dangerous can Willian be in the EPL. We have the Defoes, Ashley Youngs, Fellainis, etc in the EPL, what’s the difference between Willian and these EPL stars? Let’s not be carried away by the fact that he scored against us what special creativity did he display individually as does Drogba or Messi or Tevez. I tell you these hyped players with very high prize tags will not help much. We now have our fluidity established in Mata, Hazard, Oscar,Ramires, and Mikel among others. Let us go for known EPL hungry talents to push for goals upfront. We missed Robin Van Persie to Man U. Let us not missed the not yet hyped but dangerous upfront Michu of Swansea. RDM instead of talking 2much on John Terry n his place in the squad should go n buy Willian now straight away in january coz then vr more stronger for another shot at the premier league n uefa champions league crown n he should also know that his own position is not gauranted.. do not b another AVB..
