Chelsea may be unbeaten after three games with two wins and a draw, but they have not played well and some people in the press have already written off their chances off success this year. Not so Sir Alex Ferguson who expects Chelsea to be challenging his team all the way this season.
Sir Alex has been speaking to Inside United and had the following to say about Chelsea, “They have tremendous experience – there aren’t any young kids in that team. We wouldn’t be saying they are dead and buried would we? Why should they be? They’ll still be a big threat and we expect them to challenge.”
When Fergie was asked about new Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas he said, “I am sure he’ll get plenty of advice from others and he will do fine. I don’t know much about him. He is a young man and it’s a big step coming into the Premier League from the Portuguese championship, but given time and support anything is possible.”
Quite right Fergie anything is possible and everyone at Chelsea will be doing their utmost to make sure the Premier League title is heading to Stamford Bridge come May 2012.
Yes! Fergie by d grace of God.
