Stoke City In Shock Move For Chelsea Striker

Are you sitting comfortably Blues fans because what you are about to read may come as a bit of a shock to you, if it doesn’t then I apologise.

Earlier today Stoke City contacted Chelsea about signing Romelu Lukaku on loan. Yes that’s the very same Romelu Lukaku who made his Chelsea debut as a substitute against Norwich City on Saturday. According to reports earlier in the day Chelsea were open to the idea, but the player himself was not.

But fear not the move will not be allowed to happen anyway because it contravenes Premier League rules. Rule M 7.1 clearly states, “A temporary transfer to a club may not take place in the transfer window in which the transferor club acquired the player’s registration.”

Bold ambition from Stoke it seems as they look to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes tomorrow, and full credit to them for trying, but what does it say about Chelsea. They have fought long and hard all summer to sign Lukaku only to loan him straight back out again to a club in the same division!

Are you 100% sure on that source as it seems very very unsettling for Lukaku, I’d be really p*ssed off if that happened to me!
