Poor stoke are the next bit of cannon fodder as Chelsea charge ahead in the title race. Burnley found out that even after beating Everton and Man Utd, Chelsea are a different kettle of fish! It is extremely hard even to get the ball of them when they are in full flow.
This time last year Chelsea went to Stoke and won 2-0 with goals from Bosingwa and Anelka, but i believe that this Chelsea team is far superior to last years. Admittedly Stoke make it hard for opponents to play, especially at the Brittania Stadium, and having added the ex-Chelsea Robert Huth and Danny Collins to the five man defence this week, they will be throwing bodies behind the ball at every chance. And with winning their last three home games they will not be lacking confidence, but Chelsea are aiming to equal their club record of ten wins in a row and will be far more confident than their opponents.
Add that to Chelsea’s record of five wins in their last five meetings with the Potters and it all points to one outcome for me. A win by two goals for the away side and the bookies agree with Chelsea odds on to win according to paddy power in their premier league betting specials.
