Terry confident ahead of Porto clash

The Chelsea captain John Terry thinks that Porto are not such a bad team to play against in the first game of the Champions League competition this season.

Chelsea always seem to play the Portugese Champions at some stage, and it is cheering to know that Porto have never won in thirteen attempts on English soil.

Terry thinks that coming from behind (again!) against Stoke was a great warm-up for this game. He said: “We showed excellent spirit in winning at Stoke, especially coming back from behind to win in the last minute and it shows how united we are as a team,”

“We know Porto will be no pushovers but we also know a lot about them, so they weren’t the worst team in the draw in Monaco I could have picked out for us.

“This is the start of a huge European campaign, and we are all experienced in Champions League football. The manager has come in and started well, he knows what it is all about at this level and hopefully he’ll be able to take us that extra step in Madrid at the end of the season.”
