Terry Faces Big Suspension After Racism Abuse

Chelsea’s iconic captain will be prosecuted after the Crown Prosecution Service officially announced that enough evidence was gathered so Terry can be prosecuted, and judging by the problems Suarez is having after a similar incident with Evra, the English international will be having a hard time after the prosecution.

“I have today advised the Metropolitan Police Service that John Terry should be prosecuted for a racially aggravated public order offence following comments allegedly made during a Premier League football match between Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea on 23 October, 2011.” Said Ms Saunders, Chief Crown Prosecutor for London

“The decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors and after careful consideration of all the evidence I am satisfied there is sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction and it is in the public interest to prosecute this case.

“He is now summonsed with a criminal offence and has the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that nothing should be reported which could prejudice his trial.”

Suarez has been banned for 8 games and the accusation couldn’t be sustained by anybody other than Evra, so Terry’s case is expected to be even worse. This won’t help the veteran defender keep a hold of his position now that manager Andres Villas-Boas seems set to change the club’s face completely.
