Time for Chelsea to say goodbye to Drogba?

It seems that 34-year-old striker Didier Drogba has set his mind on leaving The Blues and according to his agent, Thierno Seydi, he turned down an one-year contract extension from them.

After inspiring the Champions League triumph, scoring 12 goals this season and making over 300 appearances for Chelsea since he was signed in 2004, the Ivory Coast forward feels that his work here is done and that he has nothing new left to show.

“At Didier’s age, he has nothing left to prove as a player. He will go where he is offered the most money.” said Drogba’s manager

The Ivorian star’s contract is due to expire in June and by the looks of it he hasn’t yet decided where he wants to perform next, despite the fact that the most important offer at this time appears to be from Shanghai Shenhua.

Didier won’t be so lonely, if he agrees to participate in The Chinese Super League, due to the fact that at Shanghai Shenhua his former team-mate Nicolas Anelka would gladly show him the ropes.

There is a rumour among Chelsea’s members that after Drogba’s the leading man from now on will be Fernando Torres, but does anyone really believe he can become as big a legend at Chelsea as Drogba?.

I can’t stop wandering what would I do if I were in Drogba’s shoes, go for the money or continue chasing the glory. How about you?

Drogba, has proven to be a real legend for Chelsea, he has contributed greatly to the success of the club since his arrival from marsille and I think he should be allowed to go for FT9 to prove his worth too.

Drogba has done immensely well for the club. He is a legend already and personally, i will say goodbye to drog as long as he doesn’t stay to play in any other club in England. Though it will hurt to watch him leave, but with joyful tears, we will always remember him
