Fernando Torres may not have scored at the weekend, but many people, myself included think that he gave his best performance yet in a Chelsea shirt. If he continues on from that display over the remaining 37 league games it will not be long until the goals are flowing again for the £50million man.
Torres has been speaking to Chelsea TV and said, “I feel very fresh with pace and sharpness. So I am happy with that, but not with the 0-0 because a striker always wants to score. It is our work so I would like to score every game, but it is not possible.”
He went on to add, “I am only 27 and I have not forgotten how to score and play well. Last season was a season to forget for me, a lot of things happened, but it is in the past and I want to look forward. This season I am sure is going to be very nice for Chelsea and myself.”
Asked whether he felt Chelsea should have won the game on Sunday Torres replied, “I think we deserved to win. So we have missed two points, but it is just the first game. Taking one point is not a good result, but Stoke is a difficult stadium to play in and they are a very good team.”
Chelsea may not have won on Sunday, but positives can be taken from the performance of Fernando Torres. He now has two home games against West Brom and Norwich to get himself, and Chelsea, off and running this season.
May be he don forget hw to score, lukaku wil remaind him….
Man City has certainly found a new bag of tricks in Aguero. The moment he hit the pitch yesterday everything changed. While Chelsea is bogged down with more of the same; City has proof that one specialized player can make the difference. So what’s the answer for Chelsea? We need someone who plays wide as a winger, but can also cut in and unlock defences. Someone who can provide a final killer pass but is accurate when called on to shoot. AVB; it’s obvious; we are talking about Neymar.
