With the January transfer window in the horizon rumors linking star players to clubs have begun to emerge with the latest of such stories Brazilian striker Alexandra Pato to Chelsea. The former AC Milan striker was linked to Chelsea this past summer but manager Jose Mourinho decided to sign Radamel falcao as club legendary striker Didier Drogba’s replacement.
The 26 year Brazil international has been spotted at Stamford bridge during Chelsea’s victory against Porto, fueling rumors that the striker could join the blues in January as a possibly replacement for the Colombian international Radamel Falcao. Pato’s agent has confirmed earlier that his client could move to Europe in January after a successful loan spell with Sao Paolo last season that saw him score 26 times.
Should the rumors be true Pato could undergo a medical at Stamford Bridge this week ahead of the January transfer window, Pato would prove a viable replacement for out of sort’s Radamel Falcao with his pace, tenacity, agility and clinical eye for goal.
