Victor Moses wants Chelsea to score early against Rubin Kazan

The Chelsea winger Victor Moses contributed to the Blues 3-1 lead from the first leg at Stamford Bridge, and he believes that an early goal over in Russia tonight could settle the game without giving the fans too many heart attacks.

Moses said yesterday: ‘We’re here to try to win the game tomorrow night, they have good strikers and they will be in our faces from the start of the game,’ .

‘We just need to get our noses in front and try to win the game. It won’t be an easy task but we’re looking forward to it and if we can score an early goal that will be great for us.’

The 22 year-old knows that it certainly won’t be as easy as it looked in the first leg but Chelsea just need to keep their minds on the game, and try and ignore the fact that we have a massive FA Cup match against Man City at Wembey this weekend.

‘I don’t know a lot about Russian football but I know it’s a great league here,’ he continued. ‘They’ve played against Barcelona and beaten them [in 2009]. They have a good manager and they have quality players who can win them the game. The most important thing for us now is to concentrate and try to do our best tomorrow night.’

“I’m a new player and want to do the best I can, work hard week in, week out and try to play as many games as I can.

‘We’re focused on the game, it’s a massive one for us, we want to put the City game to the back of our minds as it’s not until Sunday. Rubin Kazan are a great team but we’ll be doing our best to get into the semi-finals.”

If Chelsea can get through tonight and then win at Wembley, we will be on our way to two Cup Finals, which will make the season seem like less of a blowout all of a sudden!

I love that Moses still considers himself a new player that needs to fight to endear himself to the coaches, players and fans. His mentality is great and I hope he’s true te his word and puts one in the net early.
