Welcome To London – £18m Star Set To Complete Chelsea Transfer

Salah

After having obviously put up a great display during his loan spell away from the EPL at Serie A side, Fiorentina, Mohamed Salah could be on his way back to England. But not to the Stamford bridge, as Tottenham are planning on snatching up the winger for preparations towards the coming season. The Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League again this season after placing 5th, and they hope a quality signing like the Egyptian winger might better their chances next season.

Chelsea loaned the 22 year-old Salah out in February as Mourinho deemed him not good enough, in order to facilitate the transfer of Colombia international,

Cuadrado from Fiorentina, and both have gone to seemingly exchange fates by the end of the season. Salah has gone ahead to blossom into a fine and better winger at the club, while Cuadrado has outrightly flopped. But even with Salah’s overnight brilliance, it doesn’t seem Chelsea will be keen on returning him, and there have been talks of Fiorentina wanting a permanent deal. Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg are also reportedly lining up bids for the player who led his side to an Europa league semis, before they finally bowed out to eventually winners, Sevilla.

But Tottenham’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to convince the player to return to the EPL as he believes Salah can still do great in England. A bid of 18 million pounds is being prepared for his services, and it looks like Chelsea could be willing to sell. With the Stamford bridge full of wingers already, there is definitely no place right now for the Egyptian, and with Tottenham also promising Europa league action like Fiorentina, he won’t be missing out in any way if he agrees to a Tottenham move.
