Reports coming in state that Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi is to be signed by Chelsea for £15m. This move obviously follows up on the blues policy of snapping up young talents and grooming them up. The 20 year old who plays as a right midfielder was signed from Sparta Rotterdam in 2013 and quickly rose through their ranks, featuring in the first team less than 5 months after being signed. Anwar came to prominence due to his being the first player to score at Camp Nou since “the beginning of the 2014-15 season when Barcelona went five matches without conceding a goal.
As always, Chelsea will be looking to the future with this deal. As was with Kurt Zouma, Nathan Ake, etc, the blues are assured of the future. Essentially, grooming prodigies to take over from the present squad and continue the tradition of winning in the team is a must. This is why this deal is a good deal for us. The potential abound from this deal compels the management to go all the way out to securing this kid ahead of other teams and securing the future of the club as well.
