WillianTalking about club legends who become coaches for former clubs, Didier Drogba is setting his sight on returning to Chelsea in the capacity of a manager some day, reports Daily Star.

Drogba joined Chelsea from Marseille in the summer of 2004 in a £24 million deal and instantly became a thorn in the flesh of Premier league defenders. He won several laurels with Chelsea and was Mourinho’s striker favourite.

Now on the verge of ending his football career, Drogba has revealed that he will return to Chelsea someday as he has an agreement in place with the board to return.

When quizzed about the possibility of a return, Drogba  told BBC Africa

“I want to give back to the club which has given so much to me. I have agreed that with the club directors,”

“Why not manager? Why not sporting director, trainer at the academy or maybe an advising role for strikers?”

Chelsea have had a torrid start to the season with Mourinho tipped to be exited. However, Drogba gas publicly backed Mourinho to be the right man for the job.

While with Chelsea, Drogba four Premier League titles, four FA Cups and will be fondly remembered for scoring the Champions league winning goal for Chelsea against Bayern Munich.
