Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a move to the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona but the France international could be tempted by a return to the Premier League. The former Manchester United midfielder struggled to impress at Old Trafford and was restricted of the opportunity to show his worth in the first team. If the Blues were to acquire the youngster, he would give them a much-needed lift and boost ahead of a difficult run-in.
Youri Tielemans is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top young talents and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old. The Anderlecht star has made an impact for his club throughout the last couple of seasons and has attracted attention from Europe’s elite clubs. Tielemans has shone on the European stage for his club and has represented his native Belgium at under-21 level in recent times. He would be an excellent addition at Stamford Bridge.
Another potential defensive option is Aymeric Laporte. The Athletic Bilbao centre-back is an incredible prospect and has impressed at the heart of Bilbao’s defensive unit against Spain’s most successful clubs. The 21-year-old has shown enough talent and quality to warrant a move to a bigger team and the Premier League’s largest sides are reportedly interested in his signature.
Chelsea need one or two signings, particularly in defensive and midfield areas. Pogba would be the ideal signing but Tielemans and Laporte are also phenomenal talents. While the former could help the Blues to succeed in the short term, the latter two prospects would provide Chelsea with much-needed security in the long term.
