"You Can Pop Champagne"- Super-agent Confirms Chelsea Will Sign PSG Target

In the last four weeks, Justchelsea.com has followed up and reported of the various reports in both England and Brazil about Chelsea’s interest in Brazilian youngster Nathan. The deal was thought to be off few weeks ago when FC Porto entered the race to sign the player and when PSG were reportedly interested in signing the player, we thought that would mark the end of the blues’ attempt to sign the player as it would have been difficult to beat PSG to his signing considering the amount of money PSG has been spending on acquiring players recently.

It was reported that FC Porto and PSG would take advantage of a supposed disagreement between Nathan and Atletico Paranaense to sign the player after both parties ( the player’s family and Atletico Paranaense ) had a disagreement over the player’s contract. Atletico Paranaense reportedly wanted a transfer fee paid to them claiming they had an agreement with the player and his family to extend the player’s contract.

Atletico Paranaense had reportedly considered the offer from Porto after a sports investment group Doyen Sports told them they can get more money from the Portuguese. All through these, Chelsea had accommodated Nathan in an hotel in London having already put the player through a medical which he reportedly passed. Yesterday, the player posted a picture of himself signing what looked like a contract with Chelsea.

To further confirm the player’s destination, the player’s father was quoted to have said; “Bertolucci called me and said, ‘You can pop the champagne’. I shivered from top to bottom. Everything I fought for was for Nathan… To put him in a big club like Chelsea, to close a deal that does not harm Atletico. I can die happy.”

For those who do not know, Giuliano Bertolucci is a super agent who has in his clientèle the likes of David Luis, PSG’s Alex, Chelsea’s Oscar among others.
