Young Brazilian star not ready for Chelsea move yet

Chelsea’s manager Roberto Di Matteo still thinks he can land Lucas Moura, one of the biggest names in the Brazilian league, who is already seen as a future star in the world of football despite his extremely young age.

It is believed that as soon as the summer transfer window will open, not only Chelsea, but also Inter Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid, will each prepare a strategically move in order to acquire the extremely talented 19-year-old, who’s contract with Sao Paulo will cease to exist after December 2015.

The attacking midfielder is unlikely to be sold under £20m, so it wouldn’t seem an impossible figure for Chelsea. Ironically, the main problem seems to come from none other than the rising star itself, Lucas, considering that he lacks experience and wants to follow the example of his compatriot Neymar, who also passed up the opportunity to move to the Stamford Bridge in 2010.

“I have plenty of time. I’m still too young.” said Lucas to O Globo.

“I have much time left. My intention is to stay here, in this shirt, and continue with the national team.”

I still think Chelsea have a chance to transfer the youngster, although it will involve a lot of funds and some guarantee that he’ll get some first team action. It’s up to the manager to decide if it is all worth it (or whoever is calling the shots at Chelsea now).
