The Man Utd manager Alex Ferguson all but conceded defeat in the race for the Pemiership title after watching his misfiring team only manage a draw at Blackburn yesterday.
“I think the title has slipped away from us today,” Fergie said. “It is going to be very difficult to win this league. We have a lifeline if Chelsea blow it, but to my eyes they have an easy game against Bolton.
“The title is slipping away when you don’t get a result in a game like today. We had to win all of our remaining games. We didn’t do it. That is the disappointment. We are now a point behind Chelsea and they have a game in hand, which would take it to four points. It’s a big gap.”
Chelsea now just have to ignore the pressure, and carry on playing in this great form. The title is nearly back at the Bridge. Don’t blow it lads!
