Ancelotti – Chelsea can beat Porto without Drogba

Chelsea will play Porto tomorrow without their star striker Didier Derogba, who is banned for the first four games in the Champions League, and Jose Bosingwa, who is banned for three matches.

Also he is still waiting on Yuri Zhirkov to recover from his injury and make his Blues debut, but it is not likely to be tomorrow.
Deco is also still recovering from an injury sustained while on international duty.

Ancelotti said: “We don’t have Didier Drogba and José and also Joe Cole and Ferreira are unable to play at this moment, also Deco cannot play tomorrow,”

“Maybe Zhirkov is not able to play tomorrow, we need to take three players from the Academy, we are happy to do this because we think we have very good talent and this is a very good opportunity for them to enter the squad – Hutchinson, Bruma and Borini.”

“Didier is going very well and is scoring goals and working hard for the team, but now we have to think about the players that will go onto the pitch to play. We have the possibility to play well also without Didier”

“Porto has very good experience in this competition. They won in 2004 but also stayed in a very good position and arrived in the last eight a lot of times. I think experience and tradition is very important in this competition.

“We know very well this team, they have good quality and have very quick forwards. We have to pay attention. We want to win and have the possibility to make a very good game, and I think it will be because Porto are not used to defending, they like to play football and I think tomorrow we will see a very good game.”
