Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti believes that Chelsea would be worthy winners of the Premiership title this season after winning all six games against the other members of the Big Four, as well as recovering quickly when certain players had problems off the pitch.
“We just have to win. We have to score one more goal than Wigan. We’re not interested in the other records. We want to win and be champions. That’s all.” said Ancelotti.
“We have played with continuity. We didn’t fall off in the very important games, beating the other members of the ‘top four’ in our six games. For that reason, I believe that we deserve to stay top of the list.”
“We are in a very good situation,”
“We wanted to arrive at the end of the season with more points. We have one more point than Manchester United, but we can decide our own destiny at our home ground, Stamford Bridge, and that is a good thing.
“We have to play one more game, though, and nothing is decided yet.
“But we have a great opportunity and a great possibility because the team is fit, in good condition and has fantastic motivation for this game.”
“The most important thing is that, when the problems came, we were able to move on quickly,” the Blues boss stressed.
“This season, really, I didn’t have strong problems to resolve. We had some difficulties, lost some games, and had difficult moments after the Manchester City and Inter defeats, but we moved on very quickly.
“Ash and John Terry had personal issues but they were able to keep these problems outside this training ground, so I never spoke about the personal issues of my players.”
