The Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has seen his team lose their last two away games, and says that it is important to win this weekends game before facing Man Utd the week after if we are to have a chance of finishing top of the premier league table.
“Bolton will want to change something with respect to Wednesday,” he said. “We don’t want to change anything because we played well, we stayed compact all the 90 minutes and against Bolton, that is very important.
‘We want to play the same – paying attention to their quality and putting the best of our quality on the pitch.”
He was then asked if he was thinking of changing the formation in light of the two previous defeats, but he is certain that the team shouldn’t change.
“We want to maintain the same this season. I have said before that for this season we will follow this way.
“Those last matches away were not good for us, but I don’t want to change as this system is good for us at home and away.”
“We know this game is important as it is the league game before we play Manchester United.”
After winning 4-0 against Bolton on Wednesday there is the danger of Chelsea thinking it will be just as easy on Saturday. They can’t afford to sit back and relax at all.
