Chelsea’s Brazilian star Juliano Belletti was at the Champions League draw in Monaco, and he thinks that the Blues have drawn some good opponents in Atletico Madrid and Porto, but still thinks that this could be the year that Chelsea win the competition at last.
But the first thing he said was: “Some nice trips for the fans!”
“Atletico Madrid have a great team, especially with Sergio Aguero and Porto is always difficult because like us they fight for their title. APOEL we know nothing about to be honest but we can talk about this nearer the time when we have to play them.
“I never played against Aguero, but Diego Forlan I did play against when he was at Villarreal. In attack, Atletico are one of the best teams in Europe, and also have Maxi Rodriguez, a very good Argentine player.
“I saw their last game on TV and they are very good, much better than in other years I think, but in the past they always start very well and fade away.’
“It is a good draw for Chelsea, and this year we need to do something different. In the last five or six years we almost won, we don’t know why we haven’t, why we don’t have the luck, but I think we can do it this year because we have an experienced manager who won a lot of trophies at Milan, especially the Champions League, and we can learn from other years.
“Also, it is good to start at home, especially against Porto which is a good challenge for us.”
