Tottenham still had a very faint hope of finishing third ahead of their great rivals Arsenal, and they put out their strongest team out against already relegated Burnley at Turf Moor.
Gareth Bale put them ahead very early, and when Modric made it two on the half-hour with a great strike it looked all over bar the shouting.
But the the fighback started. Elliot made it 2-1 minutes before the half-time break, and the second half was all Burnley.
Chelsea’s own Jack Cork got the equaliser ten minutes after the break, and Paterson and Thompson finished off a miserable Tottenham side.
If Spurs play like this in the Champions League next year they will get destroyed!
