The Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has already agreed a fee with Bolton for the England defender Gary Cahill, and he will join the Blues on January 1st according to a report in this mornings Daily Mirror.
They report that Bolton are resigned to letting Cahill go rather than let him leave for free in the summer, and Chelsea have agreed to pay a £7million fee despite him only having six months left on his contract.
Coyle has said recently that Cahill makes an excellent partner for John Terry in the England team, and Terry is the one that was reported to have recommended to Villas-Boas to go all out for Cahill in the transfer window.
Coyle also admitted that he wanted a deal done quickly so that he has time to bring in reinforcements to his relegation-threatened side as soon as possible. Bolton are now odds on to get relegated according to Paddy power.
He said: “If something comes in, it would probably be better sooner rather than later,”
“The further we get into the window it can make it a very difficult market. It’s fraught with danger, we can all accept that.”
Well it now seems like it is a done deal and everyone has got exactly what they wanted…..
Wel havin cahil at chelsea is a welcome development.go blues go!
Having cahill as a replacement 4 alex is kul and much beta go chelsea we all are hapi 4 u
That is a massive signing i must say, but we still need to bring in more new players, i mean we need to sign cavani, gotze, rodwell, and possibly a prolific striker.
Nice one, good buy. Bt dnt ever mistke 2 say he is better n preferable 2 Luiz. Cos even Luiz is better than Terry who is losin pace n stability.
This is a welcome development for bringing cahil to standfordbridge come january,it will make our defence to be tight.
