It appears that Chelsea have made enquiries about the Brazilian international midfielder Ramires, who is currently playing for Benfica in Portugal.
Ramires’ agent, Luis Carlini, has reported that Chelsea have actually spoken to Benfica about a possible move.
“Many clubs from the big European leagues have been in contact about Ramires,” Carlini said.
“Chelsea and Bayern have spoken to Benfica, but I can’t say more.”
Ramires himself, who has only been at Benfica for one full season, says it is his club who will decide whether to sell him or not.
“I came to Europe to win championships,” he said.
“It is normal that I would look at any offers from clubs in bigger leagues but I am currently under contract and Benfica will have the final say.”
Ramires played in all the Group Games in the World Cup for Brazil. Did anyone think that he was particularly skilful?
