Chelsea close to AVB's second signing, and Lukaku to follow
It is being reported everywhere this morning that Andre Villas-Boas is close to his second signing as Chelsea manager, despite saying that he was intending to wait until August before making any transfer decisions.
The reported target is the Barcelona midfielder Oriol Romeu and the price is 5m euros according to the Mirror, and £5m according to the Mail!
It seems that the 19 year-old impressed AVB at Porto and he tried to take him to Portugal, but he has pursued the matter since joining Chelsea and is now close to persuading Barcelona to let Romeu go.
It is also being reported that Chelsea are even closer to securing the signature of Romelu Lukaku from Anderlecht. When AVB was asked about the negotiations yesterday he said: “Lukaku is a player I know, obviously, and had a magnificent season in Belgium,”
“Let’s wait and see if it becomes a reality or not.”
Roman Abramovich has been chasing Lukaku since last summer, so I would be very surprised if he is not the next arrival at Chelsea in the next few weeks.

I do not know Lukaku very well but I’ve heard of him. I there4 wants to urge my Boss AVB that he should make new sighnings but he shouldn’t also bow to preasure.

I think, singning Lukaku will be a good one, though i don’t know him. He is a vibrant and a young star as described, i know his will be favourable to any club that will actually get his signature. Shalom!
