Chelsea Due To Miss Schurrle Transfer

London giants Chelsea are due to miss out on German star Andre Schurrle, as Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen is unwilling to let him go regardless of the price The Blues might be ready to offer them.

Schurrle had an extraordinary European Championship playing for Germany, and ever since there have been a host of rumours running around linking the striker with moves to the Premiership, where Chelsea and Tottenham have been watching him.

Despite the fuss, Bayer’s chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser has declared that there is no chance for Schurrle to leave the Bundeslige side this summer.

“Andre Schurrle is an important player of our club,” he told Bild.

“There is no asking price in this case as there is no alternative solution. We have already said everything about this.”

Chelsea will have to look elsewhere, but with the transfer window deadline fast approaching Di Matteo has got little to no option to choose from. Brazil’s star Hulk and Spain’s target man Fernando Llorente have been linked with a move to the Blues, but despite the fact that negotiations have taken place between the clubs, nothing is certain yet with just over a week of transfer window left.
