Chelsea favourites to sign Luka Modric this summer
The Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric tried very hard to persuade Tottenham to sell him to Chelsea last summer, but Daniel Levy blocked the move and forced him to honour his contract at White Hart Lane.
So I have been checking the latest Sports picks and at the moment Chelsea are the 5/2 favourites to finally land their man this time around. Even Harry Redknapp recently admitted that Modric could be on his way out of Tottenham, although he thought Gareth Bale wouldn’t be going anywhere.
Harry said: “Last summer it was vital that we kept hold of Luka,” Redknapp, who is confident his team can win all four of their remaining games and leapfrog Newcastle and finish fourth in the league, said. “I don’t think we will have to do it with people like Gareth Bale this summer. Luka, it’s different with him. I don’t know what he would do. I would be lying if I said I was sure that he would stay. You don’t know. But certainly I wouldn’t see Gareth Bale wanting to leave here. At the moment he is happy here, a big fish here. He is still learning the game, a young boy, and this is where he needs to be.”
Obviously the final decision on whether Modric leaves may rest on whether Tottenham finish fourth, and then if Chelsea win the Champions League to replace Spurs in the Champions League next season, but if you are intending to make money on this bet then the time to do it is now, because the price will drop drastically in a few weeks time.

joe moutihno? Seen him play before, for me his not as creative as luka. Even luka cant replace lampard, If u gona replace lampard u need some1 great n showing potential to be as good as lands ‘hamsik’.. Lampard gives so much, assists, needles to say his goals. I would say who ever chelsea buy must play alongside lampard. Modric n lamps in mid, dat wud be special, hamsik n lamps dat wud be awesome. But fellani and lamps dat wud be realy great cos fellaini can hold n control da midfield, and da guy can pass so da weight wud be off lamps shauldas n actualy allow lamps to play his game.. Also dat means chelsea wud hav to get a natural Cam ‘lucas moura,ganzo, hamsik’ alowing mata to play da SS position comin from da right wit marin playn Lmf. Wit dat much flair and skill around, torres wud feel xtra confidnt. U can imagine da kinda service he’d get.

To me i want chelsea to change and replace these following three (3) players with these set of players; Let luka-Modric to replace Lampard no more creativity, Vitcor-Moses to replace Dan Sturidg no much goals and Hulk to replace Malouda.
