The situation ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League final against Bayern Munich doesn’t seem to be improving and there’s not much time left until the game as the injuries are still taunting manager Di Matteo.
The Italian interim coach will be without Meireles, Ramires and Ivanovic in the Champions League final, and if missing key players like Terry, Ramires and Ivanovic wasn’t enough, Di Matteo might also have to deal with a massive list of injuries, leaving him no option but to use a lot of substitutes in the German final.
David Luiz, Gary Cahill and John Obi Mikel have massive problems ahead of the game and still remain uncertain, while John Terry’s absence is already known. Without Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz and Cahill, Di Matteo will have to dig deep to find a center-back couple who can actually face the likes of Mario Gomez, Robben and Ribery.
It seems that Luiz, Cahill or Mikel’s returns will happen very last minute (if they will happen at all), but not all is lost yet as Didier Drogba and Petr Cech are back in action for the team which will try to fight against all odds in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich
