Chelsea is likely to lose its top striker in January.

Drogba is finally ready to hang the Chelsea jersey on a wall and move on with his career. The Ivorian striker is looking to get an offer which will bring him an excellent salary for the last years in his pro footballer career.

The striker’s agent Thierno Seydi declared:

‘Milan came in for Didier, but I said no straight away. Their offer, for a loan with an option to buy, did not interest us.

‘He’s had the offer of a one-year extension from Chelsea, but that does not suit us. At his age, he has nothing left to prove as a player.

‘Once you are well into your thirties, you have to go to a club where you can be certain you’ll be able to pay your bills.

‘He will go where he is offered the most money. It could be the United States, Qatar, Russia or somewhere in Asia.

‘He’ll go wherever he feels good from a financial point of view.’

The Ivorian striker has been with Chelsea since 2004, but now at 33 years of age he seems ready to move on with his career and let the younger generations take command at Chelsea. The Blues are going to regret seeing him go, but new prospect Lukaku seems the younger and perhaps better version of Drogba so the fans can rest assured.

Let him go we wish him best of luck

Don’t let him go just like that. Sell him in January if he wants to, along with Anelka and use the money from the transfers and their wage budgets to sign a new striker. Abel Hernandez would be an ideal replacement.

It makes it sound like he’s low on money, can poor drogba not afford another 8 bedroom mansion with a ferrarri in the garage?
