Chelsea have won five out of five Champions League Group games so they are taking the opportunity to rest some senior players ahead of the crucial clash with Tottenham this weekend.
Nicolas Anelka and Ashley Cole haven’t even travelled with the team. John Terry is included as he came through this weekends game unscathed, but Frank Lampard is still not ready to make his return. Yuri Zhirkov is also out with his groin strain.
The youngsters included in the squad consist of Gael Kakuta of course, Jeffrey Bruma, Josh McEachran, Patrick van Aanholt and an 18 year-old defender called Billy Clifford.
This is a great opportunity for the kids to get some big game experience, although perhaps the Blues could do with another win to try and regain their confidence but that would seem unlikely now.
If you check out the Sports betting on the match, the French side are favourites to win, but Marseille may not be guaranteed to field their strongest side either as they are already guaranteed second spot in the group.
