Napoli have done everything they can to discourage the possible transfer of their Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani, but they have failed to deflect Chelsea. Roman Abramovich has authorized an offer of £35 million for the prolific 25-year old, but the deal is still in jeopardy because of the weekly wages that Cavani wants.
There is no doubt about Cavani’s goal scoring abilities. For his first club Danubio, he scored 12 goals in 30 games. After his move to Italy with Palermo he continued to impress with 37 goals in 117 appearances, earning himself another step up to Napoli. He soon established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe, netting 66 times in just 94 games for the Azzuri.
It is little wonder that Napoli do not want to sell, his goals got Napoli through the first round of the Champion’s league and into the Coppa Italia final, where he opened the scoring on the way to victory over Juventus.
The players representatives have told Chelsea that they require £150-000 per week as a salary and that would put him at the top of the wage structure alongside club captain John Terry, according to The Express. Fernando Torres is the top earner at Stamford Bridge on £180,000 per week, but Chelsea are reluctant to commit to such a high wage for a player who is untried in the English league.
With Porto pricing Hulk out of a move to Chelsea, Cavani has become the stand out choice for the Blues and they are in real need of a quality striking addition before the season starts.
Am sunday isaac. My suggest is dat d money 4 cavani is to much we should use dis money nd buy two players like demba ba victor moses. Pls
Cavani is good but Hulk is better, cos he will make bigger difference for Chelsea…But if we can’t get Shurrle,it will be better for Chelsea to sign both Cavani and Hulk. Please,Chelsea should be SERIOUS in transfer-market,cos we need to build a Powerful Team that can beat Man-City in the EPL and also,a Team that will beat Barca in UCL…What about Victor Moses? He’s a solid player, its better to have Moses on our bench than Malouda and Benayoun being on our bench.
pls roman get this man at all cost to replace departed didier
Chelsea should not feel they are READY for next season,a lot still need to be done…that’s what affected AVB while he was at Chelsea,A LOT NEED TO BE DONE. We should try and complete Oscar’s Deal, since we cant get Modric…Most importantly,Chelsea should try and keep Sturridge,he’s a world-class,but need little time.Chelsea should keep De Bruyne, and Josh McEachran, cos they are World-Class and will contribute much to the Team. Then, loan out Lukaku, sell Malouda,Romeu and Benayoun.
Please Roman Abramovic get this guy. Do all you can to bring him. He is the best plyer to fill the vacuum left by Drogba. Torres is not reliable
Get HIM! Then get a RB (Gregory van der Wiel !!!!) and another natural winger!!now someone who knows the premier league and won’t cost too much with real pace, Theo Walcott. I have heard reports suggesting we’ll get Oscar, I would have preferred Joao Moutinho as he’s a much better all rounder in the middle of the field. He can play centrally, more advanced or deeper if needs be. Now I can’t se us signing another central midfielder so Moutinho would have been so much better being able to cover all positions.

Hulk is not good against PL teams, as shown in the CL. Cavani can destroy Man City as shown, and Chelsea also, this is good. Hulk wont b good at the bridge, not as good as Cavani anyway, just cave in Roman, you know you want to.
The task ahead is tough!
Our club “Chelsea” need to sign a hot and fast shooter’ striker and Cavani or Hulk are the right men, then complete Oscar deal, get one right back… (Maicon or Van DW)
Pls we need this players if we need another trophy, our squad now can not make it unless we sign those players…
Kudos!!
