Rumours have been running around wildly linking the Blues with a move for Azpilicueta, and it seems that the deal is almost done now that the Spaniard has admitted his move to Chelsea.
The right-back, who was expected by every Chelsea fan to sign as soon as possible after Bosingwa left, hopes that his leave will help Marseille go past the financial problems they have been having lately.
“Everyone thinks it’s been a tough time with my thoughts split between Marseille and Chelsea,” Azpilicueta said in the Daily Mirror.
“But if my departure can help Marseille’s finances, it’s good for everyone.”
This will surely prove to be a marquee signing for Chelsea, as the Spanish young full-back showed his potential in several occasions for the French Ligue 1 side, and is sure to do the same for Chelsea if given the right amount of time to adapt to the Premier League pace.
How do you think will Chelsea look once the new additions of the summer will manage to get used to their new colleagues and show off their skills?
Come on guy
the sooner that guy is in blue jersey, the better for we all fans of the great pensioneer. I have never think that chelsea would ever see a player like Ivanovic for a right full back but cesea, He his a great guy. Give me Napoli striker too and lets be the champion we have always dream of becoming.
