Loic Remy has widely been linked with various Premier League clubs, with reports suggesting Chelsea failed to sign the striker with a deadline day move last summer.
Harry Redknapp is said to have made Remy his top target, but it is yet to be seen whether the QPR owners will be willing to put up the £10million asking price, after their lavish spending over the summer.
QPR’s chances of signing the striker will be severely dented should Chelsea renew their interest in January, but with Rafa Benitez’s arrival, it is yet to be seen where Chelsea will choose to spend.
My thought’s are that Benitez will have little if any input into Chelsea’s prospective transfers, and that Roman Abramovich and Michael Emenalo have their own ideas.
Remy, who can also play on the wing, is noted as a clinical goalscorer in French football, having scored 27 goals in his first two seasons at the Stade Velodrome.
It’s the sort of form that led to Chelsea desperately trying to tie up a deal over the summer, only for the window to close before the transfer could be completed.
Remy is currently contracted to Marseille until 2015.
Chelsea need a striker, but somebody more established firstly, Remy may be able to lead the line, but a Falcao, Gomez, or even a Cavani is needed to complete our side. Letting Drogba leave was our biggest mistake. Am I wrong?
You’re right we should’ve selled torres instead of lettinh drogba go
I disagree that letting Drogba leave was wrong. It was time for both parties to let go and he left on good terms. As they say “hindsight is 20/20” and yes we could use him now but at the time it was a good decision for Chels and for his well being.
