Chelsea to swoop for Robert Green as Cech falls out of favour

The Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been repeatedly criticized over the last few weeks as Chelsea have constantly conceded goals from set-pieces.

Eleven of Chelsea’s total of 13 conceded have been the result of defensive errors from set-pieces, and the Daily Express reports that Ancelotti has now reached the end of his tether and is planning to replace the legendary keeper.

West Ham are reportedly resigned to losing Robert Green in January, and are looking hard to find a successor, with Sunderland and Aston Villa both keen on signing the England stopper.

But if Chelsea come in, they can afford to outbid the other two and offer superior wages to the vastly improved 29 year-old. Green kept ten clean sheets for the Hammers last season when he was an ever-present in the team.
