With Bruce Buck confirming that Chelsea will be making two or three additions this summer, all the fans will be looking out for any Chelsea transfer news on the web.
Personally, i think our most likely marquee signing is likely to be Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid, especially because of his remarks earlier this year. But there have been rumours that Man Utd were also interested in taking the young Argentinian to Old Trafford.
But the Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has now said that neither Aguero nor Diego Forlan will be leaving the club, and also said that the Man Utd gossip was not true.
Cerezo said: ‘We are not aware of any offer from Manchester United and it is typical of the rumour mill in England. Kun (Aguero) is now concentrated on giving his maximum at the World Cup.”
He doesn’t say that Chelsea haven’t made an offer though…….. I;m still hopeful on that one.
What about Yaya Toure from Barcelona. His agent always seems to in the papers trying to sell his client to somebody. Despite reported interest from Arsenal, Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk said that a move to Chelsea would be better.
“If Chelsea wants Yaya and everybody wins with this deal, why not?” said Seluk “This last season, Toure has not played regularly and his manager Pepe Guardiola has preferred Busquets or Keita instead of him.
“If he prefers Busquets or Keita, then the best for Toure it is to leave to Chelsea. He had made up his mind 90 per cent to leave.
“He has a good salary here but he doesn’t want to earn money and fall asleep on the bench. Some players would accept that situation. Not him. If he leaves, Barca will understand then what they lose.”
I know Yaya is a good strong footballer, but I don’t think that Abramovich will be buying any players over 25 any more. He knows that Chelsea need to reduce the average age of the squad drastically, and build for the future.
The Milan younster Alexandre Pato must surely be at the top of Ancelotti’s wish-list, but the Brazilian has said that it is totally up to Milan as to whether he moves or not. “I’m happy here, this is my home. I have a contract until 2014, and my life is in Milan’s hands,” he said. Well if anyone knows how to negotiate with Milan, it must be Ancelotti!
It is also being reported that Chelsea have decided to join Man City in bidding for James Milner from Aston Villa, and are willing to match whatever price that City put forward. He would certainly be a brilliant replacement for Joe Cole, and the promise of Champions League football could be the deciding point if it came down to straight choice between the two clubs. I quite like the idea of having another Englishman at Chelsea!
Pato? OH HELL YEAHH!!! his young talent and killer instinct would add a HUGE addition to our aging team.
Aguero? OH HELL YEAHH!!!! also young, good close control. although in the chelsea v atletico game he didnt look so impressive.
Milner? MEH. although it’ll be a good replacement for the aging ballack.
Yaya? MEH. i dont think abrahamovic or even the fans would want him. srry go to man city and join your brother
i say that chelsea should sign star players like torres, kaka, aguero, pato etc.this would make them more stronger.
