Inter Milan has offered Wesley Sneijder to all big clubs for cut-down price of £9.5m.
Inter are keen to remove Sneijder’s £200K a week wages off of their wage bill.
The Italians had offered the Dutchman a new contract, with a £25K wage cut. The 28 year-old declined, and has since been removed from the Inter first-team, and told he can leave the club.
He said: ‘Clearly it’s best for everyone concerned that in January I am transferred. If that doesn’t happen then I will stay. I have a contract with Inter until 2015.’
Sneijder arrived at Inter from Real Madrid for a fee of £24million, and won the Champions League, Coppa Italia and Serie A, all in his first season with the club under Jose Mourinho.
The Ex-Real Madrid star was named best midfielder of the 2009-2010 Champions League midfielder, leading the Italian club to extend his contract until 2015.
Inter have been short of funds of late, capitalised by Inter’s poor showing in last season’s Serie A, finishing in fourth place.
Chelsea have an abundance of young talent, and would not like to tip the wage structure with his astronomical demands. Personally I would prefer to play Juan Mata or Eden Hazard or Oscar.
