Chelsea played with half a team of reserves in last night’s Champions League match against Zilina, and although they made hard work of it, the Blues still managed to keep their 100% winning start to their Champions League campaign.
Zilina shocked the youngsters by taking the lead through a brilliant bit of play, although perhaps the young defence should have dealt with it better, but Daniel Sturridge nicked an equaliser, and then, at the death, the old guard of Anelka, Drogba and Malouda combined to get the winner.
Okay Chelsea haven’t played well lately, but they certainly looked comfortable enough last night, and to have five wins out of five in the Champions League is not a bad position to be in!
