Drogba feeling fit ahead of the pre-season games

Chelsea fly to America for their, now common, pre-season warm-up in the States, and striker Didier Drogba is feeling good about himself and the trip.

He sounds rather relaxed as he told Chelsea TV yesterday: ‘It is always good to be in a country like America with different people,’

‘Seattle was the first time I was coming to play for Chelsea and I have very good memories of it so I am very happy to go back there.’

‘I like LA, the weather is nice, it is perfect weather to train there,’

‘It is good to play these kind of games against big teams and we really want to improve our condition and be ready for the first game against Manchester United [in the Community Shield] and do everything to win the title because that is very important for us this season,’

‘I was back to the Ivory Coast for some games for World Cup qualification, we had two wins so it was good, and then I had two weeks off. I still need to catch up with the other players on the fitness but it will be quicker than if for example we had four weeks off.

‘I feel like I haven’t put on any weight so I think the pre-season will be easier for me. I hope I will lose two or three kilos to be really fit for the season.

‘I hope I will start the season the way I finished the last one – strong, scoring goals and playing good.’

So do we Didier, so do we!
