Hulk to Chelsea?

Chelsea is lining up a massive bid to bring powerful Brazilian striker cum winger to Stamford Bridge according to daily telegraph. For what seem like the hundredth time, Chelsea are been linked with the attacking midfielder cum striker. The story never gets old, today he is a target, tomorrow a bid is been tabled, the next day, he is in London but in the end, NOTHING.

Chelsea might be in the market for a striker but am sure Hulk is the last name on Mourinho’s shopping list because Mourinho himself has said in the past he wants a striker who can play in tight spaces and Hulk is a far cry from that in fact he prefers operating as an attacking midfielder from the right that way he can cut in from the right and unleash powerful and lethal shots that he is well known for with his favoured left foot. The signing of Hulk will surely sell Chelsea tickets via 1st4 football tickets.com but he is definitely not someone we need.

Chelsea at the moment is also not looking to add another attacking midfielder to their ranks with Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle and Salah already in the side and Betrand, Traore, Thorgan Hazard, Lucas Piazon, Victor Moses and Christian Atsu all out on loan, an attacking Midfielder is the last thing on Mourinho’s Shopping list. If Chelsea were to or had any serious interest in signing Hulk, a deal would have been done a few years ago before he joined Zenith St. Petersburg for a reported €46m and I think linking Hulk with Chelsea at this stage is absurd because the ship has sail long ago.

There is a very remote possibility of any deal happening since Chelsea are not in need of another attacking midfielder and Hulk having overcome initial problems at Zenith both on and off the pitch, isn’t looking for a move away from the club. Then again this is Chelsea, you never know.
