Juan Mata – It’s A Dream Come True for Chelsea Blue!

Chelsea managed to win the most important trophy in their history, and for Juan Mata this trophy came at his first season with Chelsea.

The Spanish attacking midfielder played a vital role in winning the cup, and was ecstatic after the final whistle when The Blues were handed the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history.

“It’s a dream come true,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s my first year here at Chelsea and we have won the most important trophy in the final of the Champions League so we are very, very happy.

“I think the most important moment in the game was the goal of Didier. We were losing with almost 90 minutes on the clock and we got back in the game.

“During extra-time we ran a lot and we defended well. Penalties are a lottery and it was amazing for us.”

This is the first time a London team wins the Champions League, and it’s even the more impressive if we remember where the squad was only a few months back when Andres Villas-Boas left the team and Italian coach Roberto Di Matteo took over, turning a very bad season into an amazing one.
