Man City just days away from signing Edin Dzeko for £28m

The brilliant Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko is right now finalising personal details with Man City and will be joining them as soon as the transfer window opens. Dzeko has been prolific in the Bundesliga for the last few seasons and Roberto Mancini will then have Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli, Edin Dzeko and Emmanuel Adebayor as his choices for centre-forward.

The Man City blogs believe that Adebayor will probably leave on loan this January, and Tevez is likely to be sold next summer as he can’t wait to leave the Eastlands. But Dzeko is certainly an adequate replacement and Mancini believes that the Bosnian superstar could be the catalyst to bring the Premiership title to Man City.

Mancini said: “We have the chance to win the league this year and the decisive factor could be Edin Dzeko. This player can decide titles and that is why we want him.”

Oh how much do I wish that Chelsea could buy a player like that!
